Sweet Little Thing (Sweet Thing #1.5) by Renée Carlino

"It means the beauty and wonder that I see in you every day colors each page of my life and makes it more vibrant. You make my experiences more meaningful."

I enjoyed Sweet Thing when I read it last year and it doesn't make any difference that I loved this little novella.

Written in Will's POV, it was short, sweet and sexy as well. Mia and Will have both grown over time and they are now preparing to become one and start a family. I enjoyed being in Will's head, there were a lot of funny thoughts and of course hot steamy love scenes.

"Imagine it's thirty years from now and you're thinking back to the day you married your wife. Was she pregnant with your child, playing "When the Levee Breaks" on the drums, in a wedding dress with no underwear on because you f*cked her silly in the back of a limo? Yeah, be jealous."

The start of family for them was a big deal in this too and I enjoyed being a witness to its beginning.
"It sounded like a pounding and sucking at the same time, but it was the most beautiful sound I had ever heard. It was the sound of my kid's heartbeat."

5 SWEET STARS!!!

Ridge (Wild #2) by Adriane Leigh

"All orgasms were good orgasms, but the ones that walked the line between pain and pleasure were bliss."
Ridge's story is as dark as it gets. We first met him when he bumped into Lane and he was with Mia (Lane's ex-fianceé). Then at the wedding of Lane and Kat, he brought a date but it wasn't Mia. And in this book, you'll see why. You'll see his whole back story. Although this could be read as a stand alone, it is also recommended that the first book be read so that you'll understand Ridge's past.

As much as Ridge is dark, Mia is too. They were both misfits ever since the cheating they did to Lane. Ridge's past was composed of drugs, juvie and girls (lots of girls) but then he restarted his life and even if him and Lane weren't close because of all his mistakes, they kept in contact for the sake of brotherhood. And then one day Lane asked for help to check on Mia, there was an undeniable attraction. They kept in contact through text, soon enough they went out for dinner, and it was the beginning of a sin.

It has been months since the biggest mistake and when Ridge asked Mia to move out. He believes that when he rights his mistake, he could reconnect with his brother. He wanted a clean slate and he wanted all of the things that could hold him back gone. So he tried to move one, he even tried to have a serious monogamous relationship but sadly it didn't work out well as he hoped it would be. He ended up hurting a sweet girl named Amy. My heart broke for her, she loves Ridge so much despite all the painful things he has done to her.

Mia's heart broke as well, she had her demons. And both of them can only be consoled by each other. A warning to anyone who plans to read this story: there is cheating involved. It has a lot of drama and steaming, angry sex. When Ridge was on his lowest point, Mia has been there to keep
him afloat. His drinking and smoking problem became more than just a problem, it was a catastrophe. He was on the verge of "off-ing" himself.

"She’d pulled herself together after I’d torn her apart, and i’d been the one to crumble. She’d come back for me, even when I didn’t deserve it. She has strength she didn’t even know she had. But I saw it. Right there, staring back at me. My everything."

When it was Mia that was on the dark, it was also Ridge that consoled her.

“Let me be strong for you . Let me take the pain away. Remember what we used to do, baby? The pain, the pleasure? I’ll be that for you, again. Take it out on me.”- Ridge

The ending was a happy one though. Despite all those sad and dark scenes in both of Ridge & Mia's life, there was a light at the end. They both moved on and learned to forgive themselves as much as how Lane forgave them both for their mistake.

“We don’t have to fix each other. We don’t need to. You’re not perfect, and I’m not perfect, but we’re perfect together. It was never about fixing you. It was always about loving you.”

Enjoy Your Stay (Sugartown #2) by Carmen Jenner

"Feel that? That shit's still beating because of you. But it doesn't change sweet FA darlin'. All you and I were good for was fucking. Dirty, primal fucking. You can't make like outta that shit. I'll love this kid because he's half yours, but I'm never gonna be a dad to him, and I'm not sure I can get past that. That's how I feel. I love you, but it doesn't change jack-fucking-shit."
My trip back to Sugartown was freaking hilarious but at the same time there was also a lot of drama along with it.

Holly Harris, the feisty redhead who is as blunt as it gets whom we fell in love with during the first book is back and she's pregnant. Nineteen years old and she's alone dealing with it because the baby daddy chose to follow his dreams and left her heart broken. Add the fact that the sexy and delicious town whore better known as Jackson Rowe is also back in town living with her along with Elijah and Anna getting it on like bunnies. Her hormones are all over the place and she's always confused. Having all those emotions dumped on you is a hole lot of scary for a young woman.

Jackson Rowe (Opening more legs than a spreader bar since 1987) has always had a hard on for Holly and him finding her pregnant when he got back in town was sort of a disappointment but his feeling never waivered for Holly. He's always had a claim for her and as the flames between these two grow, it becomes clear that they can't get enough of each other and decide that their undeniable attraction decide to tuck their feelings away for good times and sex play.

"This is how we play safe; by teasing and rejecting one another until we can forget about the feelings between us." - Holly

As these two fall into an all time sex-a-thon (that competes with Elijah and Anna), their roommates begin to question it because one can only go for so long on a friends-with-benefits situation.

What I didn't really like in the story though was the PUSH and PULL between Holly and Jackson. I swear they gave me a headache with the "I want you, I hate you, I need you inside me, We can't be together...etc." It was a total rollercoaster with twists and turns. Then add in the fact that Chelcie (Jackson's ex-fiance) and Coop (Holly's ex-boyfriend and baby daddy) comes into town and the whole story becomes a big chaos.

Coop even declares his love for Holly and their baby. This just made her more confused because she doesn't actually know what's the right thing to. She's young and she's bound to make mistakes.

Holly, Jackson, Coop, Chelcie, Elijah, Ana, Sammy, and Bob. All the characters of Sugartown made my stay fun and interesting. I love the fact that Elijah and Anna still had a big role in this story, I missed them and the fact that they had a crazy, wild sex tape made me laugh all over the floor.

The craziness and unexpected twist and turns made me left guessing which direction the story will end. I love Holly & Jackson's funny antics. Just the beginning of the story has got me laughing. You gotta love the fact that they are each other's missing piece. Their connection was undeniable and they didn't always need words to connect. No matter how hard they tried to resist each other, it was too strong and being the person you love will always win. It was tumultuous, steamy, messy, hot and cold. I loved every page of it. It wasn't as BIG as Elijah and Anna's story but I still enjoyed my stay. And I can't wait to be back for more Sugartown!

Rare and Precious Things (The Blackstone Affair #4) by Raine Miller

“In the hours of the darkest kind, Brynne has ever been my light. My lover who saw inside my battered soul and freed me.”

Since the beginning of this series I have always been fond of Ethan and Brynne as a couple. Though during the first, second and third book of the series we witness Ethan being an alpha dominant neanderthal when it comes to Brynne, here in Rare & Precious Things we witness how Ethan became an overprotective soon to be father. And it was absolutely heart warming.

Brynne's past though, wouldn't stop haunting her despite running from it. But all of that came to an end despite giving them problems along the way. Ethan helped her through it all.

“You made me want you. You made me want…a life. You were my greatest gift of all, Ethan James Blackstone.“

Brynne in return also helped Ethan get through his guilt and PTSD. They were truly made for each other despite boyh of their pasts. We also witness how Ethan and Brynne are as a married couple and nothing has changed ever since they fell in love. They just fell in love more and more with each other. And they were truly with what they are.

“I knew more happiness and love than I’d ever experienced in my life, and now understood how precious it was to have that love.”

It was a perfect ending for the series. I just wish that I could have witnessed more moments of Brynne and Ethan being parents to their child. But all in all it was a great journey reading about this couple. I will surely miss them. Their love for one another is a great example of how anyone should accept love even if the person is broken. True love is accepting imperfections for perfect reasons.

“Brynne was my life. The last piece of my puzzle that had finally completed me.”

Shame on You (Fool Me Once #1) by Tara Sivec

If you're in the mood for a funny and light read then this is for you. Tara Sivec has created another funny series composed of three friends that started a company called Fool Me Once Investigation. They swore off men because of all the bad traumas they have experienced with them in the past.

The main character Kennedy is an ex-army and divorced from her cheating husband. When she takes up an assignment that she was sure was an easy pick, she wasn't expecting a lunatic dognapper that believes in aliens. It was hard enough that she was dealing with this bail jumper, her dad also assigns a guy from her past. Her ex-husband's best friend Griffin was suddenly in the picture and starts to mess up with her thinking and capturing the criminal assigned to her.

There were a lot of sexual tension, action scenes, a LOT of scenes that made me laugh my ass off and two infuriatingly cute dogs. Tara Sivec never fails to make me laugh. I love it!

Moore than Forever (Needing Moore #3) by Julie A. Richman

“September 27th
My wishes on a million twinkling stars come true today.”

*sniffs* That is the most touching ending for Mia & Schooner. I absolutely love every page of it. It was not as drama filled unlike the first two books, it was light and the message of family was the main point, and in made up for all the drama that wasn't in the story. I cried tears of joy and I was also so touched by a lot if parts. Mia & Schooner knows how to make me cry and swoon at the same time. They really are one soul in two bodies.

“Moving his cheek against hers he took a few deep breaths filling his lungs up with the cool night air and whispered, “I promise I’ll love you forever.”
“That’s not long enough,” she whispered back, holding his head against her tight.
“God, you’re a greedy little thing,” he was smiling into her ear.
“Yes, I am. And I want you to love me for more than forever.”
“It’s a deal, Baby Girl.”

The beginning scared me at first, I thought Mia & Schooner won't make up but given the blessing of a little baby, I knew that they would not let the option of not being a family happen.

I also love the part wherein they paid tribute to Michael. It brought tears to my eyes. From Mia opening up to Schooner in Zambia up until they were at the 9/11 memorial.

Witnessing how their family grew and be surrounded by a lot of people who support them, it was very heart warming. How I wish soon I'll also meet my own Schooner Moore and be surrounded by friends that treat me like family.

“There are some things I never forget.”
The look in his eyes was melting her, “Oh really, what else haven’t you forgotten.”
“A promise I made to myself when you were just sixteen.”
Reaching out to lay a hand on his cheek, “And what was that promise?” she whispered.
With a look that summed up twenty-five years of love, heartbreak, loss and utter bliss, as he carried her over the threshold onto their boat, he whispered back, “Your first and your last, Baby Girl. Your first and your last.”

Zac and Lily though, I can't help but feel that there would be a story there soon. If ever there will be, I'll be waiting! I think Seth or CJ deserves a story or a novella. Either way, I know that Julie A. Richman has now climbed up to my favorite authors list.

5 SMOOCHAL STARS!!!

Room for You (Cranberry Inn #1) by Beth Ehemann

I absolutely loved this book. It was light and sweet. Especially the fact that family is a main point. And the kids were absolutely adorable. There is nothing sexier than a full
grown man wrapped around a little girl's finger, in this case a set of twin girls *sighs and swoons* Brody was really amazing. He wasn't the typical douchebag hero that we often read about. And Kacie was the strong heroine keeping it together for both of her girls.

I love the pacing of the story. It wasn't rushed and there was just the right amount of romance and sweetness.

“I’ve loved you since that night out on the pier when we looked up at the stars, then I fell in love with you again the next day when you peeked at the sunset from the top of the Ferris wheel, then I fell in love with you again when I saw you in that blue dress, then I fell in love with you again on my kitchen counter, then I fell in love with you again at the cake tasting, then I fell in love with you again at Lauren’s wedding, then I fell in love with you again in that hospital room when you stared at your daughter lying unconscious in that bed…”

“I fall in love with you every single time I watch you interact with Lucy and Piper. The love you feel for them is so vast and overwhelming, it absolutely amazes me. I sometimes wonder if there’s room in your heart for me too, but then we’re alone … and it’s there. Whatever it is, it hangs in the air between us, so fucking thick I can hardly breathe.”- Brody

“I’ve loved you since you first called my girls twinkies, then I fell in love with you again when you made me jump in puddles with you, then I fell in love with you again when you went fishing with Fred, then I fell in love with you again when you bought twenty kinds of shampoo, then I fell in love with you again in your bed, then I fell in love with you again when you let the girls paint your nails, then I fell in love with you again with a pair of hospital slippers in my hands.”- Kacie

Can't wait to find out what happens to that ending!!! I need the next book like now ;)

The Pairing (The Proposition #3) by Katie Ashley

"I'd be anything and everything you wanted me to be, if you would give me the chance." - Pesh

*swoon* I wanna have my own DR. MCDREAMY BOLLYWOOD!!! Alpesh Nadeen or who we know and have read about from the past Proposition series Pesh, finally gets his own story. And not only that, he's paired with the sassy Megan Mackenzie, Aidan's favorite niece. Despite the big age difference, their attraction for each other didn't falter. Megan was really reluctant to date Pesh because she wanted to have fun, being out of the game for two years because of her son, she wants only a physical relationship from Pesh. Sadly, he didn't share the same sentimenta. He wanted her for more. He wanted marriage and kids.

Pesh is absolutely a dream for any woman out there. Imagine this: a doctor, gentleman, polite, loves kids, family oriented, can fly planes, and sexy in and out of the bedroom. So why does Megan resist all that? I swear I wanted to reach inside my ereader and slap the bejeezus out of her. Read this and you'll find out why. In the end though she finally had that epiphany and realized that Pesh is made for her.

"If I take you, I'll be making love to you. I'll have you begging and pleading, but you'll be coming so many times you'll lose count. You'll understand the difference between a quick tumble and the all-consuming power of a physical connection fueled by an emotional one." - Pesh

I absolutely loved the story. The fact that Pesh being a gentleman that he is, paired with the aggressive yet kind Megan; we have a handful of trouble and interesting story by Katie Ashley.

I love the dialogues between each character, even the supporting ones. And the fact that Emma, Noah, Aidan and Aidan's family played a big part in this story made me happy.

And also, I loved the kids! Seems like the number of characters are growing. It completely touched my heart reading about Aidan loving Noah and Pesh being so attatched to Mason. It made me tear up when Mason asked Pesh if he's his Daddy *sniffs* I love stories about families and this was no different.

5 SWEET STARS!!!
