The Other F-Word (In Other Words #2) by M.K. Schiller

Food, Fuck, Fabulous, Fantastic, Forever and Family.

Just a few F-Words that I have picked up from reading this book. I have to say, I enjoyed this as much as the first one. I had a lot of fun being in Damien and Emmie's (Jessie) world. You'll understand the deal with the heroine's name once you get to read the book.

“Having you is enough. Having you is the only thing I need.” – Damien

Emmie was a newly forty-four year mother of three and grandmother of one. She never expected that a young, hot and rich thirty year old Damien Wolfe would take interest in her despite the one year that has passed since they danced that night at a bachelorette party.

I absolutely enjoyed this sexy romance. It had off the chart steamy love scenes and the chemistry between Damien and Emmie was pouring from my e-reader. There were a lot of funny scenes as well. Especially when it involved Emmie's children. Plus, her crazy yet sexy banters with Damien was also funny to read.

“You don’t have any scars.” – Emmie
“They exist. They’re just not visible. You make them better. You heal me……” – Damien

I loved Emmie, she was such a great parent to her children. Not to mention, she's been strong for so long and I admire her for that.
Damien was absolutely sexy. He's actually one of the good guys, you could feel that he's sincere from the beginning. Plus, he made me swoon so much, I wanted to reach inside the book and just kiss him.

I hope this wouldn't be the last from the series. I'm hoping for Billie's story next or maybe Derek. If ever they end up together, it wouldn't be bad at all. Whatever it is, I'll be watching out.

5 FREAKING FABULOUS STARS!!!

Legal Briefs (Lawyers in Love #3) by N.M. Silber

I needed a great laughing escape and this book did well. There were a lot of parts that made me laugh so loud that people were actually looking at me and think I'm from the loony bin.

Awesome book if you want light, sweet and a funny couple to watch :)

Love, In English by Karina Halle

“You can’t fall in love in a week.”
“You can fall in love in a second. The heart has no regard for time.”

I totally went into this book blind because I never expected to feel so many emotions while reading this. Ever had that feeling wherein you don't know how to react at all? You don't know whether you want to cry or scream at your ereader because the story got so deep into you that you want to reach inside and just hug every character. Well, I felt all of those things. My tear ducts are so used, I think they're actually broken.

Vera Miles was a rebel of all sorts. She has tattoos and is studying astronomy in Vancouver. One summer, she decided to explore life and travel while she was still young as twenty-three. She never expected to meet and fall in love with a married man. She doesn't plan to be a home-wrecker because she knows what it feels to be from a broken family.

Mateo Casalles entered an english program for people who wants to improve their conversational skills by talking to Anglos for a whole month. He never expected to meet the fireball named Vera Miles. Being trapped in a loveless marriage, he fell in love with the said fireball even if he knew it was wrong.

Vera and Mateo were simply finding themselves by being in the program at Las Palabras. But by finding themselves, they also found one another. The last book I have read that was a "forbidden romance" was the Thoughtless series, and every forbidden romance has and those kind of stories have a lot of angst. I'm one of those people that get too affected with those kinda of read. This book isn't any different, it was passionate and it made me cry buckets of tears.

“Love is like a thief, it robs you of all thought and logic and all you have left is a heart that you can only pray is strong enough to survive the rest.”

The writing was also exquisite. Karina Halle has really outdone herself. This was much different from her other books and I loved every page of it. You could actually feel the chemistry between Vera and Mateo growing. Soon enough, their passion for one another was also sizzling and oozzing from the book.

“Love, in English, is love…”
“Love in Spanish is you.”

5 PERFECT STARS IN THE SKY!

Nova and Quinton: No Regrets (Nova #3) by Jessica Sorensen

“For everyone who suffered loss and learned how to live again. Know that you’re not alone.”
Nova and Quinton are back but not with each other. In this book, they both battle distance to find out where they belong and what's their purpose. Nova's hero complex most of the times get the better of her, in here she learns that not everything is her fault and that things happen for a reason.

Quinton is out of rehab and learning to cope up in the real world. Although he longs for Nova's company, he feels that he's not yet ready. So they talk on the phone constantly. Seeing how their relationship grew through that was pleasing and thid wasn't as depressing as the first two books. But it was a bit slow at the beginning. I'm glad that this ended on a great note for both Nova and Quinton.

"Forgiveness. If only more people could do it. Then maybe there’d be less pain in the world."

Out of the Shallows (Into the Deep #2) by Samantha Young

“Live young. Live hard. Love deep.”
Charley & Jake's story continues. I admit, at first I got confused with the pacing of the story. It was mixed up on the past and present, so I found it hard to cope up with what was happening between the two of them and their friends as well.

The angst was still there just like in the first book. It was intense and at times I couldn't handle it. I wanted to reach into the book and just punch both Charley and Jake. Their issues with each other were sometimes too much to handle. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. I'm just glad that it ended on a happy note.

Dazed (Connections #2.5) by Kim Karr

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect with this one but I've loved Aerie since the beginning. Actually, this could be read as a stand alone. And I absolutely loved it.

Aerie has always liked structure, always keeping things in order and control. She's been Dahlia's roommate and best friend for a long time. So when she went to her and River's place for a small get together, she didn't expect to meet the guy who stole her cupcakes.

Jagger is River's cousin, he's cool, sexy and fun. Being brought into the modeling industry at an early age definitely shows that he's gifted in the looks department. But he also has a great heart and personality to boot.

The moment these two met, there was an instant spark. The thing I loved about how their relationship grew, it wasn't rushed. It was just the right pace and it was fun all throughout.

I can't wait for the next in line for this series.

Falling Under (Falling #3) by Jasinda Wilder

The Falling Series continues with Nell and Colton's only daughter Kylie. She's all grown up and has a mind of her own. She's the typical good girl her parents could ask for.

Kylie meets Oz at community college while she's taking early college credits. Since then, there was that magnetic effect between them.

The POV's are by Colt and Oz though. It was entirely new for me because its like the author made the past and present collide. Being Nell and Colt's story still on process while Kylie and Oz's love story grows. I admit though, it wasn't like the first two books from the series. It was angsty but not full on drama. I'm not much of a fan of angst so I did still enjoy this. Just on a lighter note than the first two.

I'll be waiting for Ben's story though. He deserves his own happy ending. And I'm sure it'll be a hell of an adventure knowing that he's on a roadtrip.

5 FALLING STARS!!!

Five Ways to Fall (Ten Tiny Breaths #4) by K.A. Tucker

K.A. Tucker has done it again. Her story about Ben and Reese has got me laughing chapter after chapter. The way they fell in love with each other was just right. Both being so damaged by the past, they were very careful when it comes to what they really were to each other.

I love how they were both there to console each other when needed and how they were real as they come. No pretension and secrets were involved. Just plain old development of each other's feelings.

Remembering You (Remembering #1) by Sandi Lynn

Indeed true love conquers all. The moment you meet your soul mate, nothing and no one can keep you apart. May it be distance or any tragedy, the love of your life will remain in your heart.

Though this was shory, it was very sweet. Sure it felt rushed in some places but I very much enjoyed Sam and Claire. I can't wait for what happens next.

DIVERGENT TRILOGY BY VERONICA ROTH

DIVERGENT

Wow! What a great read! I don't know why I waited this long to read Divergent. Maybe because there were people saying that this was a Hunger Games knock off but it isn't. It's so different in many things. Its also my first time to watch the movie then read the book next. Sure there were still a lot of inaccuracies between the two but I loved both. And partly, why I decided to read the book is because of the movie.

I absolutely love the story line. Being set in the future wherein our society is divided into factions (Candor, Erudite, Amity, Abnegation and Dauntless) that controls everyone is unique as it goes.

Beatrice Prior never really felt like she belonged to her own faction, so when the day finally came for her to choose her own future she went with her guts told her to despite the fact that her test results were inconclusive. The day she came into Dauntless, she was just the "Stiff" but she grew day by day and she learned how to cope with everything, with a little guidance from Four.

Four and Tris' chemistry isn't clear but as you read along you'll notice it. Nobody likes an easy love story so it works. Their innocent love was cute and witnessing how it grew throughout the story was fun to read.

I admit, at first I was getting impatient because the beginning was slow but towards the middle it got a lot more interesting. And then towards the end, it was full blown action packed scene after scene.

I have seen mixed reviews about this book. It just goes to show that Divergent isn't for everyone but it is definitely for me. Now, I will move onto the next book!

INSURGENT

This book was supposed to be four stars for me, partly because I was so frustrated of Tris' decisions. I wanted to reach inside the book and slap her. But along the way, it was a complete turn around. It made me gasp because of those few revelations, it also made me tear up and it also made me sigh in a lot of parts. I'm also falling hard for Four *dreamy sigh*

That hangover though, WOW! Now I have to start the next one because I can't wait any longer and I need to find out more!

ALLEGIANT

"Be Brave"

I never realized that I'll be crying at the end of this book. It was most unexpected that the ending will do such a number on me. I was late in reading this series and now I am currently asking myself why I waited so long to read it. I finally undestand all the hype and I for one am affected by this awesome trilogy.

Throughout the whole book, I got a bit confused and didn't really connect but as you go along with it, you'll get more and more hooked that you'll find it hard to put down. It was seriously addicting. All the surprises, unexpected events and unending betrayals by characters added more life to the story. It was a bit cruel for the author to kill so many of the main characters but I think it was those deaths that made the story move forward to its success. It was full on action and drama at the same time.

It explores the common adolescent anxiety and painful realization that doing something for the greater good required sacrifice. Even if it means leaving all those people you love behind, especially your very own family ideologically and physically. It also includes a metaphor about a teenager's trials upon facing separation from family and the agony of not knowing where you will be able to fit in.

Though the ending was devastatingly heart breaking, it was "sort of" perfect. Just goes to show that love requires sacrifice from every aspect. The story mainly pointed that out even from Divergent and Insurgent. I can't help but feel empty though, after reading this trilogy. It means that Veronica Roth did such a great job that he was able to touch her readers hearts and at the dame time taught us lessons we'll never be able to forget.

5 HEARTBREAKING BEAUTIFUL STARS FOR THE WHOLE SERIES!!!

Bad for You (Sea Breeze #7) by Abbi Glines

Bad For You was just the same as the other Sea Breeze series. Abbi Glines still knows how to write boys that gets your attention and sweet girls that makes those guys melt and change their hearts made of stone.

We all know the band Jackdown led by Krit. They perform at Live Bay wherein all the Sea Breeze gang hangs out. He's the epitome of a musician-manwhore. He was once hooked/obsessed with his childhood friend Jess. But she's with Jason Stone now and it actually made his heart break a little.

Blythe Blakely never ecperienced love and she was sheltered from everyone. She took physical and verbal abuse from Mrs. Williams and she never fought back because somehow Pastor Williams defends her from time to time, but she was desperate to move out of that house. When she finally had the freedom she has been seeking for her whole life, she never knew that meeting her upstairs neighbor will change her life.

There were times that made me feel irritated with this story. Even if Blythe was sheltered and Mrs. Williams had ingrained in her brain that she was ugly, I think she would've still had the clue that she's gorgeous. I mean, she would've seen herself in a mirror and she would've had a clue on how guys see her. I think it was a bit exagerrated.

I enjoyed it nonetheless but the same story line is kind of getting tiring for me though. I wonder who'll be next.

Hothouse Flower (Calloway Sisters #2) by Krista Ritchie & Becca Ritchie

WOW! That was absolutely amazing! Ever since I've read about Ryke & Daisy during the addicted series, they have had my attention. They were bothe daredevils and very adventurous in their own ways. They have been my favorite couple but I still love the whole gang. I've been dying for them to have their own story and my wish came true!

It has been two years since the last book and Daisy Calloway is back and she's finally eighteen. She's making a name for herself in the fashion industry as well. Despite her hatred for modelling, she does it because it pleases her mother. She endures all the diets she's being given and all the things every model needs to go through. She's been hounded by paparazzi not only because of her profession but because their family is rich and famous.

Ryke Meadows has been close to Daisy ever since his brother, Loren let him in his life. Ever since the day his eyes landed on Daisy Calloway eating a pomegranate at a party, he couldn't deny his attraction to her. But upon knowing that she was the youngest of the Calloway sisters (not to mention 7years younger than him) he mentally changed his thinking to "this girl is off limits".

During the other first books from the series, we witness Daisy and Ryke's flirty conversations which is always Daisy's way of silently telling Ryke that she likes him. Despite the fact that Ryke's always been attracted to her, he didn't act upon it. #1 She was underage, #2 She was his brother's girlfriend's younger sister (and Loren would hate him more than how much he hates him because of their pasts and family issues) and #3 Daisy's parents don't actually like Ryke because they all think he's just a foul-mouthed guy who lives off his trust fund and does nothing but climb rocks.

Daisy and Ryke has always been the fun couple to watch because they like going on adventures and they tend to push every dangerous stunts to the brink. But their story wasn't all fun, they had a lot of challenges in their way and they got through it all. It wasn't easy for sure but in the end, they were with each other. They never faltered and facing those challenges just made them a strong couple.

"I am so emotionally involved with that girl… I want to be the one to hold her in my arms. I want to comfort her until she reanimates in pure fucking happiness. I don't want to miss a day with her... And I can't take back these feeling."

I admire Ryke so much because of his willpower and loyalty. He's been helping Daisy with her issues since he's the only one who knows. He makes sure that she's safe and comfortable every night. Although he has feelings for her, he didn't act on it because he loves hi brother so much that he's willing to sacrifice that happiness.

"What we fucking have," he said. " I love you beyond physical attraction." He cups my smooth cheek, looking deep into my eyes. "I love you, Dais, because you're the wildest fucking girl with the biggest fucking heart. And without you in my life" -- he shakes his head like it's an inconceivable picture -- "I'd be the unhappiest fucking guy… I fucking love you, sweetheart."

I love how the whole gang is always there for one another. Connor, Rose, Loren and Lily were always there to help them get through anything just as how Daisy and Ryke were always there for them. All of their crazy banters and antics always makes me laugh and love all of them more. Plus, the authors knows how to write a hot sex scene. I swear all those hot and heavy love scenes were adventures on their own and they were perfect for Ryke and Daisy.

This series is so addicting! It has all the elements, it will make you tear up and laugh as well. Plus, family is also a main point. I can't wait to read more about them!

“You’re a hothouse flower,” I tell her. “You can’t grow under natural conditions. You need adventure. And security and love in order to stay alive.”

Reclaiming the Sand by A. Meredith Walters

"There were never two people more ill suited for a relationship than us. We were all wrong. We didn’t stand a chance.

And that made me want to fight for it even harder."

I knew that when I decided to read this book, Meredith Walters will deliver. This book was so beautifully written and heart breaking at the same time. The author really has a talent for writing characters that have mental issues (not that I'm discriminating), a boy that has Aspergers and a girl with Reactive Attachment Disorder were just a perfect pair for an angsty romance. The blurb alone got my attention.

Ellie was mean. As in mean all the time. She was also with the wrong people. I think because of her past and her so-called friends plus her Attachment Disorder, she became this person that's always angry and mean to other people.

Flynn was the new kid in town and being a kid diagnosed with Aspergers, its hard for him to trust people and he has a lot of issues about a lot of things. He's uncomfortable about people touching him and its hard for him to control what he wants to say.

A few years went by and they meet again. There were feelings unsolved and they hadn't talked about the things that happened in the past. This time, they try to do things right. There were a lot of scenes that made me cry and angry at the same time. If you want to read stories that has challenge written all over it, then this is for you.

4 STARS!!!

Twisted (Tangled #2) by Emma Chase

"In the last two years, I've probably told you a dozen times that I would do anything for you." he shrugs. "It's time I put up or shut up." And this...this is why I love him. I suspect it's why you love him too.
Because despite his faults and flaws, Drew is bold enough to give me everything he's got. To put his heart on the chopping block and hand me the ax.
I had super high expectations from this book. When I first learned that Kate will take the lead for POV, I was excited because we get to find out why Drew fell in love with her. We get to dissect Kate's thoughts and her feelings for Drew.

The story is a whole big misunderstanding between Drew and Kate. It frustrated me so much and I just wanted to reach inside the book and bump their heads together because they were both idiots. I mean, how hard is it to just face each other and tell your concern right? But it added angst to the story. It wasn't as funny as the first book and this actually made me tear up a bit because of Kate hurting from her almost loss.

I also admired Kate's stubbornness in being independent. She was right to ask that from Drew because in the end she learned from it and distance did make them grow together. They actually learned to communicate more than just letting sex be their answer.

Needless to say, the big sex scene in the beginning left me panting and it seriously made me miss being inside Drew's head. Its good that he took over the Epilogue though. I absolutely loved every word of it!

"I love you, Kate. Everything that's good in my life, anything that really matters, is only there because of you. If we hadn't met? I'd be f*cking miserable-and probably too clueless to even realize it."

4 TWISTED STARS!!!

Passion and Ponies (Chocoholics #2) by Tara Sivec

5 SPARKLING PENIS STARS!!!

This book had all of the elements! I don't really know how Tara Sivec does it. She made me laugh out loud as usual but she somehow made my heart turn into mush because of the sweetness that she added into Ava and Tyler's story. Plus, the My Little Pony bandwagon of this story made me fall for it. I never thought I'd understand the weirdness of it but I got a hang of it in the end.

Ever since I've read about Ava and Tyler on the first Chocoholics, I've been dying to know their own love story. Despite Ava being a bitch to Tyler all the time, I knew there would be a soft spot in her heart for the idiot. Tyler, I swear he's a Drew 2.0. All of his crazy antics and the "weird dirty talk" was so hilarious I can't even begin to describe how I laughed out loud in my room.

The whole gang as usual was present. Charlotte and Gavin, Claire and Carter, Jim and Liz, Jenny and Drew plus Charlotte and Ava's ninja sister Molly. I swear, sometimes I forget that Carter and the rest of the parents are older because they all blend in with their kids. They have their own crazy stunts and let's not forget the knowledge they still have open about sex.

The twist towards the end was shocking but I got a hint of it here and there while I was reading a book and it totally rocks! I can't wait for more chocoholics series. We still have Molly to know and Drew and Jenny's children to be added in the mix.

A Cry for Hope by Beth Rinyu

"We need to mend our own hearts before we can mend each other's. And in the end, hopefully, we can both be there to put the pieces of us back together..."
Beth Rinyu never fails to make me cry. This story was no different, although this was more gut-wrenching than her other books. And just like her other stories, family, friendship, love, loss and sacrifice were the subject.

I admit that I felt so depressed while reading this book. Everything Hope that had once had was gone in a blink of an eye. It didn't help that her own husband, who used to be her whole world was slowly drifting away just like the day Charlie was taken away from them.

When things about Hope and Jamie's marriage started to go haywire, Hope went back to her mother's place and decided to cool off. There, she met once more her long time childhood best friend Nick. He's back home on a leave from the Marines. And he has his own issues.

Together they console each other and remind themselves about their great friendship ever since the day they met.

The loss of the story was totally heart breaking. I was controlling my sobs by 80% of the book. But towards the end, the second chance that the characters had, was a beautiful ending.

I can't wait to read about Will. Just the prologue of his story got me interested.

Room for More (Cranberry Inn #2) by Beth Ehemann

..."I realized I am meant to have more in my life than just hockey."
"Am I the more?"
"You're absolutely the more....you're more than more."
Just like the first book, this was an awesome read. It picked up where the first book left off. Kacie met her ex-fiancé Zach. And she's absolutely troubled by it. She doesn't know if she'll go ahead and tell Brody or give it time. Not to mention, her girls might ask questions if Zach returns into their lives.

Brody was once again the sweetest and most supportive boyfriend to Kacie. And amidst his "end of contract" year, he is pressured to perform A++ or else he might get traded to a different team and state. He doesn't like it because he just started a great relationship with Kacie and her daughters. So the threat of being separated from his girls are messing up his thoughts.

I love the characters of the story. The main point of family always gets my heart turn into mush. And I just love the twinkies' in their 15+15 jerseys!

There was much more drama in this book (I think?) but it added more to the story which made it interesting. I hope there would be a next one!

Tied with Me (With Me in Seattle #6) by Kristen Proby

"I want you to be tied with me in every way, just as I'm tied to you."

Kristen Proby has gotten me addicted to her stories and these Montgomery men are my favorite. They are hot as hell and should seriously be kept in a leash so that women won't be forced to do illegal things on them.

Kristen Proby just kep on surprising us ever aince the beginning of this series. She has kept us in love with a charming movie star, a tattooed rocker with a dirty mouth, a bossy businessman, a professional football player with a heart of gold, an ex-Navy SEAL, and now she is trying to further ruin us for all men by feeding our fantasies with a police detective with a penchant for bondage. What more could this woman write about? I swear she has a talent for writing about men that fulfill every woman's fantasies.

Matt has always been the quiet one, little did we know that he's very inclined on the kinky/BDSM things. When he met Nic a few weeks ago, he found himself fixated on her. And then during Caleb & Brynna's wedding, they met again. Sparks fly and Matt never let Nic out of his sight.

I admit that I expected more from this book, I was a bit disappointed that I didn't feel any excitement as much as I did from the books before. It may be because Matt has always been the calm and quiet one out of them all.

I missed all the funny talk about sex and orgasms when all the women were drunk though.

I can't wait to read about Mark next. He sounds like fun and I hope that I do have fun when I get to read his story.

4 LITTLE ONE STARS!!!

Sinners at the Altar (Sinners on Tour #6) by Olivia Cunning

Thank you Ms. Olivia Cunning for making this book. I have missed Sinners as well as their partners. I love how the author gave every member a story about their weddings. It wasn't easy for sure. Each one of them had problems in claiming their women but it was all worth it in the end.

"You only need to remember three words to keep your wife happy," Brian said, releasing Trey so he could draw Myrna against his side.
"I love you?" Eric said. "No. Any idiot can try that route. The three words are: she's always right. If you remember that, your life will run smoothly."
"But what if she's wrong?"
Brian stuck a finger in Eric's face. "No, dude. Listen to me and remember. She's always right."

Appetite for Seduction - Epilogue to Backstage Pass

I absolutely love Brian & Myrna! Their wedding was what I have always expected from them. Considering these two have always been the sweetest of the couples. Their small wedding was intimate and just perfect for them.
“When I look at you, I see radiance. I know pure happiness. Everything else pales in comparison. The thought of living a single moment without you tears me apart inside. Just when I think I love you as much as possible, you open your heart to me a little more, and my love expands—grows—wanting to fill every emptiness."

Sweet Love of Mine - Epilogue to Wicked Beat

Eric & Rebekah has always been the funny couple out of the group. Reading how they had their wedding was a blast. Also, the way Eric was accepted into Rebekah's family was touching. Knowing from the past that he was left behind by his own mother, it makes me feel happy that he's now a part of real family adding up to his co-bandmates.
"Forever was just a word until I met you. Now it's a promise. A dream. My cherished reality. I love you forever, Rebekah. My love. My wife." He lifted her hands to his lips and kissed her wedding band, staring deep into her eyes. "Forever."
Patience - Epilogue to Rock Hard

Sed & Jessica's wedding story was a handful. With it being a real formal ceremony, wherein Jessica's mother continued to handle which completely drove both of them crazy. It was sweeter than what I expected. And the song that Sed sang for Jessica made me swoon. I loved it!
"Only one thing makes me more complete." He slid a hand low to cover her belly. Their child. "Part you, part me, inseparably. No way to ever untangle us two, when two become one and one becomes three."
November Rain - Epilogue to Hot Ticket

Oh Jace & Aggie! I just love this couple. Ever since I have read Hot Ticket, Jace had always been my favorite Sinner. He's very sweet and even though he's hard on the outside, he's all mushy on the inside; especially for Aggie. Their vows were perfect! The paranormal twist in it made their story interesting though, I wasn't expecting that but it still blended well with their story.
"You, Aggie. You're the piece that holds me together. The missing piece that made me whole. You, Aggie."
I can't to read more about the whole gang of Sinners!

5 SINFULLY PERFECT STARS

Lovely Trigger (Tristan & Danika #3) by R.K. Lilley

What an epic conclusion to Tristan & Danika's drama-filled love story. They have experienced everything a struggling couple
could ever get through. Their love for one another made me experience a roller coaster of emotions. I cried so much for both of them and at the same time, I felt their love the whole time.

“Love doesn’t let you walk away clean. Love is messy. Love takes a fucking piece of you before it’s done.”

Their love was just that –a war. It was a long, tortuous, all-consuming fight full of battles and victories, defeats and triumphs, tragedies and trials. This book is their second chance love story.

“You don’t need to follow every impulse in life; you don’t need to take on every gamble. But some, even ones that have burned you before, well, some of them you do. Some of the sweetest moments in life come from second chances.”

Tristan was so hell bent on taking Danika back. His determination is stretched from here on earth up to the moon. I love how they were still themselves after all those years of separation. They were still the best of friends. They were each others strength.

“We needed to become best friends again. Yes, that was how I would do it. I needed to become so essential in her life that she couldn’t conceive walking away.
I meant to break her.
Needed to break her.”

“In my whole life, there are only two people that I’ve ever called my best friend.”
My eyes filled from his raw tone as much as his words.
“You and Jared.”

I love how R.K. Lilley showed Danika & Tristan's journey through those 6 years that they were separated. Even if they weren't together, they still somehow linger among each others lives. Other people had come and gone with them, they both tried to have normal relationships with others and yet they still can't seem to move on. Even if they were hurt from what happened from their past, they still love one another, no matter how much they deny it.

“Because that’s how love works. It doesn’t die, even when you don’t feed it. That’s just the way it is. I wouldn’t change it, even if I could. Loving her has become a part of who I am.”

The ending was so heart warming and I'm glad that it ended with a happily ever after, they both deserve it after all. I also love how they were surrounded with a lot of people who supports and love them like family.

5 LOVELY STARS!!!

Fearless (Ruin #2.5) by Rachel Van Dyken

"Where we thought may see the end—”
“—we write ‘The Beginning’.” I finished.”

Fearless is a novella and continuation of Wes & Kiersten's story. It was all hearts and flowers. Literally. Because it's main point is Wes' and Kiersten's impromptu wedding plus honeymoon.

I love the addition of Lisa's POV though. It gave more preview about her own story. I also somehow connected with her feelings regarding her friends relationships. Longing for love and companionship.

Can't wait for the next installment.

Uncaged (Corps Security #3.5) by Harper Sloan

WOW! I just couldn't get enough of the Corps Security men! Seriously, what are all these men drinking and how do I snag one? I really want one please? With cherry on top!

When I found out that Cage and Melissa gets a continuation of their story, I seriously got excited. If you guys haven't read the first 3 books, then you should read those before you read this novella.

Written in THREE POV's. Yes, I kid you not! It is three, because Harper Sloan loves us enough that she also included little cutie Cohen's own thoughts for us to ponder. It was such a sweet read because of that. With Cage and Mel's POV's enough to show so much love, reading Cohen's was just the cherry on top. I loved every moment of it.

There were a lot of moments when I got so teary eyed because of all the heart-felt love I actually felt oozing from the book. Love of family and friends were such a main point in this book. I just love stories about families, especially when cute and adorable kids are in the picture.

The fact that their whole family is growing along with Axel & Izzy, Beck & Dee, Asher, Chelcie, Maddox and Emmy, now with babies that add up to those numbers; I'm sure their love for each other will as well. I'm sure time will also come that those kids will have their own books like their parents did *wink wink*

5 SUPERHERO STARS!!!

Some like It Wild (The Wild Ones #2) by M. Leighton

Some like it wild is a quick and easy read for me. When I read about Jake in Wild Child, there wasn't absolutely much about him so he remained too much of a mystery. That's why I was so excited and curious to read about his own story.

Laney Holt is the sweet and good daughter of the town's preacher and she has long avoided trouble because all she wants for her future is to be married to a good husband like her mother has found in her father.

Jake Theopolis is your typical bad boy of the town. When Laney Holy approached him years ago for a peach wine, it peaked his interest and found himself having a taste of her kiss in a kissing booth.

Years later they meet again when Laney takes up Jake's case about his family's farm. The undeniable attraction was still there and they both couldn't deny it.

Basically the story is good girl meets bad boy. And who wouldn't love those kind of stories right? Bad boys always has peeked my interest. Especially if they're sinfully hot like Jake is.

The only thing I didn't like about this is how Laney kept the reason as to why she broke up with her ex-fiance, Shane. If she just told them the truth then it wouldn't have been hard for her because her parents kept on pushing her and Shane back together. It just created unnecessary drama for the story.

Anyways, I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Toxic (Ruin #2) by Rachel Van Dyken

Toxic made me feel a lot of emotions. Ever a since I have read about him in Ruin, he has fascinated me and I wished for his own book. And finally, Rachel Van Dyken granted that wish.

Nobody really knows the real Gabe. He's hiding something huge that can change everything he has tried to avoid for four years.

”I was playing a part. I was Gabe. I would never be him again, I would never be my past again.”

He's deeply broken and haunted by a mistake he has done. And it made me choke up in tears. It made me remember a certain part of my life that made me connect with how Gabe was feeling.

”I could be her friend. I could be Wes’s friend. Hell, I could even be a good cousin to Lisa, but I’d never end up with anyone. My soul mate? I’d already met her.”

I love how the author made every character an important part of this story. Wes, Kiersten and Lisa were a great support to Gabe and yet they didn't overshadowed him. Wes as always had been a great friend. He has so much wisdom that he really is sounding like a therapist-slash-hero.

Saylor met Gabe by accident when she heard him playing his heart out using the piano. He was cocky as hell and if that kiss wasn't an indication that they were attracted to each other then I don't know what else.

”That…” He leaned in. “…is how you perform. Like every kiss is both your first and last – like you’re saying both hello and goodbye – like you’ve just been born…like you’ve just died.”

Saylor has never felt anything like what she has felt when she literally fell in front of Gabe. He was irritating as hell and she just can't seem to get rid of him. But as they get closer, the deeper their feelings for each other get.

"I could take away his pain. If there was a way to transfer it from his soul onto mine. I would take it."

”Gabe…” Saylor kissed my mouth. “For what it’s worth, I still want to be in the story even if it means…I walk away empty-handed. Even if it means I walk away without my heart.”

The ending was truly heart breaking and relieving at the same time. It's actually a beautiful story and I can't wait to read more about these characters.

Death and love are the only two things that exist in this world that are strong enough to alter the course of your life, of your destiny. They either propel you or paralyze you. In the end, the choice is always yours." ~ Wes

A Husband's Regret (Unwanted #2) by Natasha Anders

If you loved the Unwanted Wife then you'll absolutely love A Husband's Regret. From the title itself, you'll know that it is most likely the male's fault and it captured my attention.

Bronwyn Palmer just arrived from work when a ghost from her past showed up. He husband's brother was settling in when he approached her and started making a scene. She was flustered and still recovering from illness when she suddenly blacked out.

She woke up at the hospital surrounded by her husband's brother and his wife. A few minutes later and her husband shows up.

Bryce Palmer has not seen his wife for almost two years, ever since that night of turmoil he has not heard a thing from her. So imagine the hurt and anger he's feeling when he sees her at the hospital. He was also surprised when suddenly a cute little girl appeared and kicked him on the shin. His daughter who he has not seen made his heart melt.

From then on Bryce moved Bronwyn and their daughter to his house. It was messy and so much anger seeped between the two. There were a lot of miscommunication, lack of it as well and hot angsty sex. Despite all that, Bryce and Bronwyn still got along because of their daughter. And they both couldn't deny that there was still love that lingered. But there had been too much hurt and loss. It wasn't easy at all for them to
live in one house and ignore each other as well as their feelings.

Bryce didn't give up though. He knew he had to fight for what he lost two years ago. and slowly he opened up for Bronwyn.

"You're my light, Bronwyn. You're my love. I'm so lost without you. I've always been so lost without you."

Bronwyn knew that she still loved her husband despite all the hurtful things he had said before. And when Bryce opened up about his past and why he is the way he is, she finally understood and gave him the understanding and love he needs.

"Last night I said that I fell in love with a man not a superhero. But you know what? You are my hero Bryce."

"There's the man I married." - Bronwyn

"I may not have said it but I loved you the first time I proposed and never stopped loving you. Not once." - Bryce

It was a beautiful second chance love story that will tear you up and touch your heart. The fact that this was not all about a couple struggling but a family trying to be whole again, made my heart melt. I just love stories that involve cute kids.

I can't wait to read the next installment.

"You're not perfect but you're perfect for me. I'll cherish and protect your heart today, tomorrow and forever. "- Bronwyn

The Swan & the Jackal (In the Company of Killers #3) by J.A. Redmerski

Love always comes first. Though I learned the hard way that love is cruel and dangerous and more fiendish than a man like me could ever be.

THIS BOOK WAS A MIND BLOWINGLY AMAZING IN ALL ASPECTS. All of the demented and dark pasts among the main characters and the unexpected twists of events had me on the edge of my seat. It was like watching a movie unfold (it actually reminded me of one that actually involves DID but I already forgot the title) and I loved every page of it. I admit, I am not a fan of books like this one is but J.A. Redmerski changed my perspective. She is pure genius and this is by far her best work.

Fredrik Gustavsson has had me intrigued ever since the first two books of the series. I have often wondered why he is the way he is. He shows no mercy and no remorse for whatsoever he does to his victims. This book will 'partially' explain to the readers why (since it'll all be explained in a different book) and you'll never stop reading this one because you'll aim for more information about his dark past.

”The past has shaped me, molded me into a monster. A monster with a persecuted heart and a dead soul.”

We also remember that from the last book, Viktor has shared with Izabel about Fredrik's wife Seraphina.

Seraphina was the only person he couldn't break. He was madly in love with her and he still is. But she has betrayed him and has been missing for the past few years. He has made it his life mission to find her and destroy her the way she has destroyed him.

”Seraphina is the epitome of darkness. And I need her back. She and I have unfinished business.”

Cassia Carrington has been kept in Fredrik's basement for almost a year. She's the only answer on how Fredrik will be able to find Seraphina. Sadly, she's suffering from amnesia and unless she remembers; Fredrik won't be able to let her go. But despite being a captive for Fredrik, she loves him. It's Stockhold Syndrome all over this scenario.

”But I happened to like where I am, confined in a sunless, starless, rainless room with only my thoughts for company on some days. I guess it’s the price I pay for being in love with the Devil.”

I love how J.A. Redmerski didn't make this story predictable. It wasn't the 'captive-and-victim-falls-in-love-with-each-other-then-have-kinky-sex-all-throughout-the-story'. It was so much more than that. It was dark, gruesome and painful to read about and yet you'll love it in the end.

The end wasn't all rainbows and happiness, that may be a downside in this one. I hope Fredrik get's another chance in finding his own HEA.

If you love fucked up psychological thrillers, action and suspense then this is for you.

"To be in love is to be dead already because eventually it kills us all."
