An intense and unconditional love story between two people who
went on a journey to escape and find their purpose. Together they faced
challenges both physically and mentally. Everything was a test and
together they conquer it.
Told in two POV's of Bray and Elias, a story about two childhood friends who took a journey to escape and along the way found their purpose and meaning to each other. They faced challenges mentally and physically together. Met people who taught them good and bad.
Ever since they were kids, Bray and Elias were meant for each other. Once they tried to take the route of having a relationship but Bray got lost along the way and moved to a different state. And after a few years, she begins to realize that she can't live without the one person who can understand her. So she went back to find and finally be with Elias.
Elias didn't expect her to be back and yet she was there. He took it as a sign that it was finally their time and that this time he wouldn't let her go. He will do everything he can to be with her. Even if it's take a road trip to help her escape a tragedy that lead to someone's death.
Somehow, this story reminded me so much of The Edge of Never, this just has a different twist on the story. And also, it's a bit connected to Camryn and Andrew's; I won't tell anything here, you just have to read it for yourselves.
I admire how Elias never gave up on Bray. Just witnessing on how he put up with everything she messes up was exhausting. She was a complicated character and Elias' normalcy gave them balance. His loyalty for her was so strong and despite all the years that she made him wait and all the shit that they were going through, he was always there.
Its always been you, Bray. I could never love another girl the way I've loved you since we were kids. Never. I've tried. Believe me, I tries to go on with my life-dating, relationships. But no matter what I did, no matter who I was with or how good they were to me, I couldn't stop thinking about you. - Elias
Elias made me tear up every time he declared his unconditional love for Bray. I seriously wanted to reach on the book and hug him because I felt the hurt he feels whenever he tries so hard to redeem Bray's sanity.
I'm not going to leave you. I'm not going to lose you. It's you and me, it always has been. It always will be. - Elias
This scene made me cry so bad:
Just reading that made me cry so much tears because it was both beautiful and heart breaking at the same time.
Needless to say, Bray was seriously messed up but Elias being there for her made her sane and kept her on the ground. Although along the way she kept messing things up and making everything worse, in the end she found her peace.
I know that I never would've made it through anything if it weren't for Elias and his unconditional and unwavering love for me. He, in every sense of the word, was my everything to me. He was my parents, my sister, my friends, and the love of my life. He was my conscience, my will, and my direction.
It was a beautiful story and I can't wait to read more of J.A. Redmerski's work.

This scene made me cry so bad:
"I want to live Bray. I want to live a life with you. I want to marry you. I want to have babies with you. I want to live. But I'm prepared to die. Do you understand?"
"Why are you doing this?"
"Because we belong together! In life and in death! Because without you I'm dead anyway!"
Just reading that made me cry so much tears because it was both beautiful and heart breaking at the same time.
