Lie Next to Me (A Millionaire's Love #1) by Sandi Lynn

Rory Sinclair ran from danger one night and by luck and fate she stumbled upon the gorgeous, sexy and dazzling millionaire named Ian Braxton. He was as bossy as it gets but Rory was drawn to him. It actually frustrated the hell out me how they argue. One minute they have a moment and the next they were yelling at each other. It didn't help with the fact that their relationship started with lust and it was too fast paced.

There were times when Rory irritated the hell out of me. I don't know why she insisted on being a push-over when it came to Ian. She was tough and knows when enough is enough but when it came to him, her brain turns into mush and she just can't help herself but be hypnotized by Ian once more. Then again, Ian saved her life and helped her get back on her own feet. But it wasn't enough for her to be bossed around by Ian when it came to her decisions, she also said yes when Ian wanted her in a "friends with benefits" situation. Sooner though, she fell in love with him despite his asshole-ish attitude.

“I’m in love with you as a person. Sure, you piss me off sometimes, but I still love you. I want us. I want us to be something special to each other."

“You saved me and you made me fall in love with you. You took my soul and you stole my heart. I’m a human being and I have feelings."

Sadly though, he didn't return the feeling. He kept insisting that he doesn't do relationships. That being tied down will only burden a person and he won't be like that. It made Rory hurt in every way and she couldn't handle it. With enough support from a dear friend, she escaped her life with Ian Braxton.

Towards the end though, Ian realizes his mistake and follows where Rory's been staying. He pours his heart out to her and tells her that he can't live without her.

“I miss you, and it’s been really hard for me since you left. You’re on my mind every second of every day. I dream about you every night, and I can’t get you out of my fucking head. Everything I do, and everything I see, reminds me of you. I hate it that you’re not at home with me. Since the day you left, I’ve slept in your bed because it smells like you, and I miss your scent. I miss you. I miss us. I miss everything we shared.”

“I’m willing to give it all up for you. The company, the house, the money, everything. I’ll walk away from it all just to be with you. You were right. The way I am does have to do with my mother. I can admit that now because I refuse to lose you. I’m just so scared that you’ll leave me like she did. I was afraid to love because I saw what it did, not only to me when she left, but what it did to my dad. I know now that I can’t live that way anymore. I want us to share a home, Rory. I want us to be a couple, and I want to go on dates with you, and travel with you. I want to scream to the world that you’re mine.”

“I love you, Rory Sinclair. I’m in love with you and I have been since the night you laid your head across my lap in the limo. I just couldn’t admit it, and then when you left, reality hit me. You and I are supposed to be together. The both of us were at the right place at the right time. We were destined to meet. I know that now. I’m so sorry for hurting you and saying those awful things to you, and I will spend eternity making it up to you. I love you so much, and I can’t live without you.”

It was a happy ending but knowing that this is a series, I know that the next book will open more doors for drama into Rory and Ian's life. I do hope it will be more interesting and dramatic than this because I just felt that the story was a bit too fast paced. But I liked it enough due to the fact that I didn't sleep
much at night because I wanted to finish the story.

I also loved the fact that the other characters are very interesting as well. It reminded me of certain characters from a different series created by the same author as this one. And there was a special participation of a couple we both miss. You just have to find out who they are, but I think you already have a hint *wink ;)

“This necklace is the key to my heart because you’ve unlocked it and you filled my heart with love. I want you to know that my love for you will always protect you.”

Transcendence by Shay Savage

"I tilt my head to the side, listening to the three short sounds she utters in a row."
HOH! That was some unique love story! I seriously loved every moment of it. It was very different from any that I have read. This was the perfect prehistoric romance that encompasses the TRUE & FIRST ALPHA MALE.

The whole story was narrated by Ehd, our kind and gentle caveman who one day found a strange girl in one of his traps. he later on finds out her name, Beh. Others may not find this story as interesting as any other romance because there wasn't much dialogue due to the fact that Ehd lacked having a Brocka's area which is a part of the brain responsible for speech.

Others may also find it funny like I did at times because there were a lot of instances wherein Ehd gets so frustrated of Beh that they argue in the most unconventional way. But Beh's always been understanding about Ehd and at the end of the day, no matter what, they still find themselves wrapped around each other covered by furs.

It wasn't easy for Ehd and Beh at all, both found each other hard to understand and all the noises (as what Ehd calls it) that Beh makes, gives Ehd a headache, but he was always grateful that he finally found his mate.

”She may be strange; she may not know how to make baskets, and she may be very noisy, but she is my mate, and I’m thrilled she is here."

The ending if the story was truly beautiful. it made me cry so much because I felt the love from both Ehd and Beh. They both sacrificed something for each other and despite all the hurdles that they have been through, their love for each other was pure and true enough to surpass all that.

The Epilogue though, it finally explains what and why it all happened. And for anyone who is willing to read this, be prepared to be touched by the very first feeling of prehistoric true love.

”My life with Beh was beautiful, trascending everything that set us apart from each other..."

5 PREHISTORIC CAVEMAN STARS!!!

Saving Quinton (Nova #2) by Jessica Sorensen

"No time is wasted when you’re trying to help someone.” - Nova

Nova Reed is still determined to help Quinton Carter visiting him everyday after she found out where he's staying at. It was an absolute torture to read about this. How can you save someone who's very determined not wanted to be saves by anyone? Quinton still blames himself for the death of his girlfriend and Tristan's cousin Ryder.

I have to admit though, I wanted to give up reading this book because it was really depressing I was getting frustrated by the fact that Quinton refuses help from Nova despite the fact that Nova gave all of her time and effort to help him open up and get help.

The epilogue though, it makes me want to read the next one and see what happens next to Quinton and Nova.

Lifers by Jane Harvey-Berrick

“I think,” I said slowly, “that meeting you has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me." - Jordan
Wow! Jane Harvey Berrick knows how to create a love story about two broken souls and make me tear up.

How can anyone continue living life after being in prison for 8 years? And the fact that he was only a young boy when he was sentenced broke my heart. All because of an accident that caused the life of another. It was heart breaking to watch Jordan be scared about every detail in his life. He was the social pariah and even if he did his time in prison, people still don't accept him.

Torrey was deemed the slut of the small town despite being the daughter of the reverend. She doesn't care either and she keeps everything real. She's a sassy firecracker that happens to be the only one who accepted Jordan. She's the best thing that happened to him for a long time. He was the angel that brought him back to life.

I’m not going to let him suffer anymore. What you do with your lives is up to you, but Jordan deserves better than that. And I’ll spend the rest of my life with him, making sure he knows he’s loved – and that’s he’s forgiven." - Torrey

In the end, the freedom that they both craved was given to them. Both of them went to find that happiness together.

“It’s not just that you accept me for who I am. You make me want to be more than I thought I could ever be.”

A Girl By Any Other Name by M.K. Schiller

"To all the girls I've loved before,
To Sylvie, Sophie, Gabrielle and Lenore,
The raven may tap and crow upon my door,
But regardless of any plans of fate, or enticing lures,
I promise to love you forevermore."

Wow! I did not expect that kind of story at all. I mean the blurb got my attention because it was unique and there was a mystery. I seriously loved it. It was addicting that I couldn't put my e-reader down for a break. I just kept on reading and reading.

"I never planned for Sylvie Cranston to be my best friend. I never expected her to be the muse in all my dreams, or the girl who later haunted my nightmares. I certainly never planned to fall in love with her, but that was exactly what happened.
Everyone told me I needed to move on. That was like asking me to pierce my own flesh and crush my empty, beating heart. They wanted me to toss it away and continue to breathe. How could a man function without his heart?"

I love the fact that their love grew from friendship. And the alternating time of present and past in the beginning was nice and not confusing at all. Usually I hate that kind of writing, but the author made it easy to read even if it wasn't the continuous present day scenario.

"The girl didn't have to win my heart. She owned it outright."

And the fact that after years and years of waiting, they still found that happiness. I think Caleb Tanner broke the record for waiting due to loyalty and true love *swoon*

Also that twist towards the end was very unexpected. It actually made my jaw drop! I seriously re-read that part to make sure that my eyes weren't deceiving me. It was a great twist because it added more about the story. It wasn't enough that the mystery behind Sylvie's disappearance was answered, there was added action and thriller in the story.

"It doesn't matter what we call ourselves. We belong to each other."

Addicted Series by Krista & Becca Ritchie

Addicted to You (Addicted #1)

This book was highly unusual and yet it was addicting to read. Lo and Lily's relationship was highly dysfunctional as well. For years they have tried to hide their addictions through having a fake relationship so that both of their families won't question the way they act.

This was the very first time I have encountered a character that's legit addicted to sex and porn. It was so random that I actually found it hilarious at one time but as the story progressed, I realized that Lily's problem is bigger that what it seemed to be. Lo's alcohol addiction as well, affected not only him but Lily as well. Both of their addiction ended up hurting them both. From the beginning of the story, I knew that one day their little bubble will pop and something has to be done, in this case they both need help.

It was a bit slow paced but I actually liked it and the dramatic ending made me tear up.

Ricochet (Addicted #1.5)

I love how this book isn't all about Lo and Lily's struggle about their relationship. It's actually a good thing that we get a glimpse more about the other sisters as well. Rose and Connor are like an old married couple and Ryke and Daisy crack me up. I just don't know how it'll work between Ryke and Daisy since she's underage.

I also like how the story isn't all about Lily trying to spend time not cheating on Lo. It was all about getting better when he gets back. Their relationship is an all unconditional love and I envy that even if it is quite dysfunctional.

Addicted for Now (Addicted #2)

5 ADDICTING STARS!!!
Seriously! I think this is the best out of the series yet (Because I haven't read it all, and I will definitely read it ALL!!!)

The story picks up after what happens to Lo and Lily in Addicted to You (although, it is recommended that you guys read Ricochet before this book). Lo is finally reunited with Lily while she's in recovery. Lo struggles to be sober enough to help Lily's recovery by being there to support her in anyway possible. But then somebody is threatening to ruin Lily's life by exploiting her addiction. It doesn't help the fact that people also recognize Lo was an alcoholic.

It was very infuriating reading about that mysterious person taunting Lily when all she ever wanted was to have a happy, healthy & normal life. She even reconnected with her sisters and opened up to people by spending her spring break in Cancun. But it was short lived because they were all troubled by the person who torments Lily.

Its a big torture finding out who the mysterious person is considering this was a lengthy book.

I hope that the authors will keep the whole series this interesting. The characters are dysfunctional but very unique that by every page, the story just keeps on getting better.

I am in love with every main and supporting character in this series. Lily, Lo, Rose, Connor, Ryke & Daisy. They have all given me something to look forward to whenever I read about them. There was never a dull moment especially when it comes to the 3 guys. I was seriously laughing my ass off whenever one of them mouths a smart ass comment.

And may I just say that I seriously cannot wait to read about them. They have the most interesting relationship as friends (and I'm waiting for that to be more despite their age gap) and I can't help but laugh on how they talk to each other.

But despite all that, I am still excited to read about Rose & Connor's story in Kiss the Sky!

Kiss the Sky (Addicted Spin Off)

"I am so deeply in love with you, Rose."

Ca vous a pris pas mal de temps. It took you long enough.

"How long do we have left?"

"Forever."

HOLY FREAKING SHIT! I DID NOT EXPECT ALL OF THAT IN THIS BOOK!

Seriously, I was clearly not a big fan of Rose & Connor during the few first books of this series. Sure I liked them because they gave me a lot of laughs especially when they argue and I find it sexy whenever they talk or whisper to each other in french but I was blinded because I was rooting for Daisy & Ryke. I am deeply mistaken right now.

Connor & Rose were the responsible couple of the gang. They were the "go to" people whenever Lily, Lo, Ryke or Daisy messed up. I seriously thought that Connor has super powers because of the calmness that he can do whenever everyone is at a panicked state especially Rose. He knows how to handle any situation. Rose as well, she handles anything in a mature manner. But in this book, anyone can understand that they are just human beings and that they are also capable of mistakes. Nobody is clearly perfect, even if they strived for that perfection. They are a perfect match, they keep each other grounded.

I did not see that coming from Connor at all! He was all ALPHA MALE to Rose and it was yummy & sexy as hell. I was shocked whenever they had those intimate moments because whenever they were with the whole gang, they were different but when they were inside the bedroom, Rose submits and Connor clearly knows what he wants and what he's doing. And I want me some of that baby.

I swear, all those teasing whispers by Connor left me panting for more. I CAN'T. EVEN. Wow! Just wow!

The fact that their story became a reality TV show was just a spice in it. Plus, an asshole named Scott is also making everything difficult for the gang. He mocks every one and he's clearly creating tension in every body's relationship especially Rose & Connor's because he's pretending to be an ex-boyfriend. Total douchebag and the villain in this book.

And the fact that Lily, Lo, Daisy & Ryke were still significant in the story? I absolutely loved it. There were a lot of funny moments that made me laugh my ass off especially when the 3 guys go off insulting or mocking each other.

"You're not a pit stop. You're my finish line. There's no one after you… I want you for eternity, not for a brief moment in time."

The ending was perfect as well. I didn't see that coming at all and it was a nice surprise. This series has now climbed up to my favorites. I vow to read the next books (I was mistaken that I didn't read this sooner). And I can't wait to finally read Daisy & Ryke's story next. I'm sure it will be full of drama once more.

6 PERFECT KISSABLE STARS IN THE F*CKING SKY!!!

-----------------------------------------

This series seriously got to me! And I can't wait to read more about the whole gang on the next books. I'm excited for Hothouse Flower already!!!!

Sweet Rome (Sweet Home #2) by Tillie Cole

“It only took Romeo one look at Juliet and his fate was sealed. Maybe I’m just like my namesake, and maybe you’re just like yours."

I absolutely loved reading Romeo Prince's POV. It was actually just like reading the first book but being inside Romeo's head was different than Molly Juliet's.

“I like the way you are with me. I like me when I’m with you. I feel like I could tell you anything, that I could bear my fuckin’ black soul. You make me feel… well… you know… You get me?"

Romeo still gets me with all his alpha male style of controlling Molly. I swooned all over him again and I kept on fanning myself because of his hotness. I actually missed the characters and knowing that there would be next books being released this year got me all excited!

Also, I freaking loved the epilogue and the bonus chapters and other additional scenes!!! They made a great difference from the first book.

"We're star-crossed, Shakespeare. Fateful, star-crossed lovers. We have a lifetime to get to know each other, unlike our namesakes."

5 PERFECT ROME-ANTIC STARS!!!

Beauty from Love (Beauty #3) by Georgia Cates

“You were once my beauty from pain, before you became my beauty from surrender. Now you’ve adapted into something different once again.”
“And what is that?”
“My beauty from love—both of you. Forever.”

What a beautiful conclusion for Jack Henry & Laurelyn's love story! It wasn't easy that's for sure, because of Jack's many pasts but it was all worth it. I can't believe its over. I'll surely miss these two.

It was irritating as hell when a few of Jack Henry's companions were out to ruin their marriage but I think it was to add drama.

I admire how Jack Henry & Laurelyn fought for their child during the beginning. It sure as hell is not easy to have those pregnancy problems and Jack Henry being on his wife's side shows that he loves her no matter what.

In the end though, it was absolutely great to watch them both grow as parents. I just wished I could have witnessed more of them with their children and watch their children be more like them. That would have been fun to read about.

5 BEAUTIFUL STARS OF PERFECTION!!!
