Being Julia (Forever Trilogy #3.5) by Sandi Lynn

“The first true love any girl has, is her father.
No one will ever replace him as the love of her life.”
~ Unknown

I can't even explain all the feels I have for this novella. It made me tear up and laugh at the same time. Witnessing once more the life of the Black family through Julia's eyes made me miss them. The fact that their family couldn't be closer enough made my heart feel full of love.

The other thing I love about this novella is the father-daughter relationship of Connor and Julia. Truly nothing compares to a father's love for his own daughter. Although Julia did have moments that he hated her father, it was actually normal. Which teenager didn't argue with his/her parents right?

Collin was also a great support for his sister. Knowing when to be there to rescue Julia and offer her help when in need. Connor and Ellery were still the same; still deeply in love and can't keep their hands of each other despite all the years they have been together. It's still true love between the two of them.

Jake Jensen is absolutely perfect for Julia Black. From the moment they met at the beach and knowing that they have met before, it was destined that they'll be together. Jake was the perfect gentleman and another great news is that Connor knew him and his family. Those are definitely greatly earned points for someone who wants to date your daughter.
“I’ll make sure she’s always safe. I know I’ve only known her a few days, but I already feel like I’ve known her forever. I can’t even describe the feeling I get when I’m with her.” - Jake

Jake and Julia were so perfect that I actually couldn't help but just feel so touch whenever they have moments.
“I’m going to make you my wife someday, Julia, and I’ll love you forever. I promise you.”

Just reading things like that from the love of your life makes you want to cry right. It was absolutely a perfect moment.

But my favorite part would always be this conversation between Connor and Julia:
“I’m really happy for you, Julia. You couldn’t be marrying a better man. It’s going to be hard, letting my little girl go, but I know I can’t hold onto you forever.”
“Aw, Dad. Just because I’m getting married doesn’t mean you have to let me go. I don’t want you to let me go. You’re my dad and I love you. You’ll always be with me no matter where I am or where I go.”

Any reader would feel the love between them. They have the perfect father and daughter relationship.

How I wish that there would be more Black family stories. I wanna know more about Julia and Jake's married life, more about Collin and Hailey's relationship and of course, more loving moments from Connor and Ellery Black.
INFINITE STARS FOR ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SERIES I HAVE EVER READ!!!

The Redhead Plays Her Hand (Redhead #3) by Alice Clayton

HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL!

This was so different from the first two books. It was still funny and it was the same Jack and Grace. Along the way though, Jack got lost or shall I say, blinded by the fame. He was actually in a pressure and he was influenced by an asshole that wanted nothing but his own fame.

Grace handled it very well though. Different from the Grace that we knew back then who was so scared of revealing herself with Jack. She handled everything so maturely in this book, I admire her so much for being so strong about it. There was a time wherein I felt like giving up on Jack because of his self-destructive state but Grace was still all about support while also doing great on her own.

I laughed and cried in this book. So many emotions! Still, Alice Clayton's writing style knows how to make her readers come back for more. I can't wait to read her next work!
